Otto

Kia Ora! My name is Otto. I’m currently in my third year at UC, studying toward a Bachelor in Fine Arts. Specifically, I’m studying Moving Image, which is just a fancy way of saying 'Film'. 

I grew up in Christchurch, and went to high school at Christ’s College from 2019 to 2023, winning an academic scholarship to the school. There, I took particular interest in English, History, Classics, and Visual Arts. I am comfortable tutoring in all of these subjects, as well as Art History, which I picked up in University and have come to really enjoy.

I am also certified to teach Speech and Drama, as I earned a diploma in the subject with honours, at the end of 2023.

Throughout high school, I consistently scored Excellence, with e-endorsed for all three years I studied NCEA.

When I’ve got a bit less on my plate, I love to draw and paint - or head to the pool for a few laps. I also love movies and books, which I churn through at an alarming rate. As well as this, I’m in the midst of teaching myself how to play the drums. I have also worked as a swim tutor for several years now, which has also given me a high skillset in education and being a good teacher.
