Elysees

Hi there! I am Elysees and I tutor Art History, Classical Studies, English, History, Media Studies, and Social Studies. I tutor all of these subjects up to Level 3, apart from English, which I tutor up to NCEA Level 1. I am in the third and final year of my Bachelor of Arts at the University of Canterbury majoring in Classical Studies and minoring in Sociology.

I originally went to high school at Papanui High School, however I switched to Te Kura in Year 11, which was a much better environment for me at that time in my life. It allowed me to finish high school early, receiving NCEA Level 3 with a Merit endorsement in Year 12.

I am extremely passionate about ancient history, specifically learning about all the people who lived back then. I also love music! I love to collect my favourite albums on vinyl and CD and am always looking for different music to listen to. I love all different kinds of media, particularly films, and I am always trying to expand my viewing horizons. My ultimate goal is to one day become a teacher and inspire the next generation to be the best and most educated that they can be!

My interest in tutoring comes from my desire to help others succeed and growing my ability to one day teach as a full time job. I am very friendly and can very much relate to those who need help with their schooling. I will do everything I can to help my students succeed, be proud of their ability, and be happy. ^_^
