Kia ora! My name is Trinity and I am a Year 13 student with pre-acceptance to study a Bachelor of Engineering with Honours / Bachelor of Arts conjoint majoring in Chemical and Process Engineering and Japanese at the University of Canterbury in 2027. I tutor Calculus, Chemistry, English, Japanese, Physics, Mathematics, and Science up to NCEA Level 2.
I gained an Excellence Endorsement in both Level 1 and Level 2 NCEA, and I have sat both the N5 and N4 Japanese-Language Proficiency Tests. I have a passion for both Chemistry and Japanese, which has led me to pursue a degree that allows me to study both. As I am currently completing my NCEA Level 3, I am very familiar with the NCEA system.
In my time outside of school I enjoy playing sports, namely volleyball and badminton, as well as spending time with friends, and reading. In balancing my hobbies I have learned how to manage my time well and effective study habits, which are both skills I have found helpful to share with students as a tutor.
As someone who has tutored younger students at my school for two years and coached volleyball for three, I am experienced in motivating students to strive for their best. I believe that making sure my student is comfortable as well as sharing my passion for learning is a great way to motivate my student towards their goals. I aim for my student to enjoy their learning environment by adjusting the pace or changing the approach when necessary to make learning as easy and enjoyable as it can be for them.
