Kia Ora! I’m Emma and I’m a tutor at AHeadStart who’s able to tutor Biology, Chemistry, Physics and Maths with Calculus. I’m a second-year engineering student at the University of Canterbury, specialising in Chemical and Process Engineering.

At Burnside High School, I attained Excellence endorsements in NCEA levels 1-3 and graduated with distinction in 2022. That year, I was awarded a few scholarships, including the Hugh McDougall Scholarship for Science due to my excellent achievements in Physics, Chemistry and Biology. Last year at UC, I maintained an A+ average so know heaps of great study techniques to aim high.

In my spare time, I love to read, learn about botany, play netball, bake, and listen to and play music. I’ve been a bass player for several years and love to jam and learn new riffs.

I’m based in Christchurch and am available for in-person or online tutorials. I’m an enthusiastic pursuer of knowledge and have a great understanding of the NCEA content and more. School can be difficult, but I strive to support students to excel and enjoy their school experience.
