Kia ora, my name is Alice and I tutor english, algebra, history, biology, chemistry, religious studies, and science. I am in my second year of a BA in psychology and cultural studies at the University of Canterbury, maintaining an A average. In my spare time I play a lot of netball and I love to bake (particularly with a good audiobook on in the background).
I graduated from Wellington High School in 2021, achieved all years of NCEA with an excellence endorsement. In year 12 I received a scholarship in level 3 religious studies and in year 13 I received the WERO award for outstanding contributions to the community. As a prefect, peer supporter, and student council chair, I have experience working with students at all stages at highschool, and helping them to have the best possible learning experience.
As a tutor, my focus is on helping the student play to their strengths; using what they already know and enjoy to build up a holistic learner. School is not always easy or enjoyable, but with the right people in your corner anybody can excel, and take away something from even the least exciting topic.
I look forward to working with you or your student, and helping to create a positive and satisfactory educational experience.
