AHeadStart offers personalised one-on-one or small group tuition covering the national curriculum, which includes subjects that are taught at primary and secondary schools, and the standards students should reach in each subject.
 

Primary School Students

For primary school students, tutoring with AHeadStart focuses on literacy and numeracy, especially the core curriculum content subjects of Reading, Writing, Mathematics and Science.
 

Secondary School Students

For secondary school students, AHeadStart can assist with most subjects in all three of the secondary school qualifications offered in New Zealand:

• Years 9 & 10 - English, Mathematics, Science, Social Studies
• National Certificate of Educational Achievement (NCEA) - Levels 1-3 (usually Years 11-13),
• Cambridge International Examinations (CIE) - IGCSE, AS, A Levels,
• International Baccalaureate ® (IB) 

Adult Students

For adult students, AHeadStart can assist with a range of English, Mathematics, Commerce and Science subjects, including:

• University Level 100 - Accounting, Economics, Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics & Statistics
• Pre-Health related courses - New Zealand Certificate in Study and Career Preparation at Ara, or Headstart: Subject-related Courses in Biology, Chemistry, Physics & Statistics at the University of Canterbury
• MBA (Masters of Business Administration) precourse Mathematics test
• New Zealand Police Entrance Exam
• New Zealand Defence Force Aptitude Test - Navy, NZ Army, Air Force
• SAT (Scholastic Assessment Test)
• ACT (American College Testing)
• GMAT (Graduate Management Admission Test)
• GRE (Graduate Record Examinations)
