Shyam

Hey everyone! My name is Shyam and I would love to be your tutor for Economics, Accounting, Mathematics, and/or Statistics. I am currently undergoing my studies at the University of Canterbury, working towards a Bachelor of Science, double majoring in Finance and Computer Science. 

I attended Christ’s College for my high school years, where I achieved excellence endorsed at every level of NCEA as well as many excellence endorsements in individual subjects. Overall I earned more than 250 excellence credits. In years 12 and 13 I was awarded the commerce prize for my strong understanding in the fields of Economics, Accounting and Business. I was ultimately awarded the UC Hiranga scholarship for academic excellence as a result of my efforts in NCEA. 

I love music and am prominent in playing the saxophone, piano and guitar. I was head of the Christ’s College Big Band and Jazz Combo, in which I played the saxophone. I was also a member of the Christ’s College Choir. I did well in many competitions with these groups and performed in many established venues around the South Island. 

If you caught me in my spare time I would almost certainly be watching Netflix. Come and chat with me about your favourite shows(I’ve probably watched them).

I know how hard and stressful school can be at times and I would be more than happy to help ease the process and help you achieve your academic goals, whatever they may be.
