Gus

Kia Ora I'm Gus. This year I am excited to be tutoring secondary school Maths, Calculus Physics, Chemistry (up to Level 2) and English (up to Level 2) with AHeadStart.

I have just begun the fourth and final year of my Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at University of Canterbury where I intend to specialise in Acoustic Engineering. Outside of my education and work, I love to play music, spend time with friends, play Basketball and play video games. 

During secondary school I was lucky enough to tutor kids aged 5-13 drama and improv. I am always amazed and filled with pride when a student is able to face their fears and put themselves out there as authentically as possible. I wish to include the fun and interactive approach that comes with drama teaching and adapt it to secondary school tutorage. Maths and Science can be daunting but I am grateful to be in a unique position where I have the engineering knowledge to explain the real-world applications of the NCEA Maths and Science Curriculum. From video games to factories, Maths and Science are applicable to all. 

I am based out of Riccarton Christchurch and available for online tutoring.
